Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs
Congratulations to all our participating NSSCC membership for making the 2018 MCSCC season a great success! Every one of the season events had been worked at diligently with “fun” by all involved – individual club’s staffing, volunteer “worker” staffing, safety and tech inspection staff, registration staff, and some help from the various race track business staff offering their services to the clubs.
In every aspect, the 2018 season showed great optimism that our weekend events continue to gain strength in popularity. The NSSCC has remained strong and healthy in membership and financial revenue. Our NSSCC weekend race event at the Joliet Country Club Autobahn (August 18/19) was a big success for the HPDE/HSAX and W2W race days.
The NSSCC continues to remain as one the most prominent and best recognized “member” clubs of the MCSCC, and perhaps in all of North America! We drive for membership recruiting. We offer “schoolings” for current and new members – driving skills and advice, working and safety. We recognize new members and their desires in our sport. We support membership with the “value” of attending some of the best race tracks in the country – right here in our immediate driving area! We offer a friendly and social environment to let us compete as we desire in “championship” season series of racing – HSAX and W2W. We offer our HPDE sessions if you’d just rather do some lapping sessions and/or get that extra practice for the competition races. We offer the most reasonable pricings for club membership and weekend participation at the races.
The staff members of the NSSCC are truly some of the best devoted people in our sport. A few extra hours to get the job done?... no problem! It’s a passion that we all share one way or another. When a NSSCC event is hosted, you can count on it as being done with devotion and passion – we want it to be the best!
Looking ahead into the 2019 MCSCC season, the NSSCC will be hosting our race weekend on July 5-6-7 at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. BHF is one of the best local racetracks in the Midwest and it offers excellent accommodations for all – racers and guests. It may be a little bit of a long drive for some people, but once you get there you feel like it’s almost “home”… away from home.
For 2019, let’s all spread the word to our friends and potential new race participants (HPDE/HSAX and W2W) that the NSSCC is one of the best member clubs in the Midwest – the MCSCC! Do your best to recruit new members into the NSSCC and they’ll find a new avenue to take their auto interests into a most fun and rewarding sport. Best of all, they’ll easily find new friendships with other people having the same or similar interests!
Look forward to final information coming soon about our NSSCC Year-End Awards Banquet, likely for the weekend of February 16/17, 2019.
As always, feel free to contact myself or any of the NSSCC Board members with comments or questions that you may have. We enjoy hearing from you and we always do our best to give the quickest and best replies.
