North Suburban Sports Car Club, with nearly 300 members competing in both High Speed Autocross and Wheel-to-Wheel racing series, is one of the largest member clubs of the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs. Prospective racers can learn what is involved in getting onto the track at a free indoor driver’s school held in March, which covers driver and
car preparation, racing techniques, and the many details most new drivers have to learn the hard way.

Start racing safely with a Midwestern Council On-track Drivers' School. Schools are currently held twice a year. Successful completion is required to obtain a Wheel-to-Wheel competition license and is strongly recommended for High Speed Autocross participants. Qualified instructors will help you get on the fast track quickly because, in most cases, instruction is provided on a
one-to-one basis.

Safety and car control are stressed throughout the school. To enter a Driver’s School or any competition event you must hold a valid state driver’s license. A written test and medical exam are also required for Wheel-to-Wheel competitors. Graduates consistently rate our competition driving schools as effective and the best value for the money– even compared to the big-buck, big-name schools.

Club membership in North Suburban Sports Car Club will automatically make you a Midwestern Council member. There are informative membership meetings, two newsletters, annual awards banquets – all the usual club events you would expect. But more important, North Suburban Sports Car Club is a great place to both get started racing and to continue to race frequently, easily and safely.

Come spend time with North Suburban. Come to our preseason school or one of our meetings. Attend one of our on-track events. See how our races are run. We think you‘ll come back– to participate and compete.
